The two ways that I will use the fundamental concepts from this course to analyze the behavior of the people in the workplace is by providing feedback to leadership and being more proactive in the workplace. I have been employed with my financial institution for over five years.  Therefore, I am very familiar with the management team.  Providing feedback to my supervisors enables them to provide better training to staff; especially newer staff.  It also allows them to implement better motivational strategies for the department.    I also feel that being more proactive in the workplace encourages others to accept change better due to the positive attitude expressed. It also encourages staff for going above and beyond in the workplace.

 

An employee motivational plan that is used within my current employer is PTO (Paid Time Off).  In addition to the PTO that is given to employees upon being hired, additional PTO is given to employees for outstanding performance done in the work place.  For instance, per month, a raffle is conducted.  In order to enter the raffle, a referral must be done.  The more referrals an employee does, the higher the chances for them winning.    Generally, the PTO that is awarded ranges from 2-10 hours.  In my opinion, this is a great motivational plan.  The additional time off may be used for anything that employee desires; whether it’s additional vacation time, sick time, or simply for resting
